"But we have this treasure (Represents presence and power of God) in jars of clay to show that this all - surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body (2 Cor.4:7-10)." Paul teaches us that when we suffer it is to be used to touch others lives. Verse 3 of Psalms 40 says "many will see." In this world we will have trouble. Paul is saying he is very fragile, but what holds us together is the treasure in the jars of clay representing his presence and his power. Again, this helps us to put our pain in perspective.
