Lets conclude our lesson on the Language of Faith, as we dissect the 23rd Psalm. Psalm 23:4 says, "Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me (Psalm 23:4a)." David AFFIRMS GOD'S PRESENCE . David said he was not afraid of danger because God was with him. David talked about the presence of God. "Your rod and your staff they comfort me (Psalm 23:4b)." David ACKNOWLEDGED GOD'S PROTECTION. "You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies (Psalm 23:5a)." David PROCLAIMED GOD'S PROVISION. "You anoint my head with oil, (Psalm 23:5b)." To anoint one's head with oil was a symbol of honor, uplifting one above the other. David ACKNOWLEDGED GOD'S HONORING. God makes us superior to our enemies and we must acknowledge this with our Language of Faith. "My cup overflows (Psalm 23:5c)." David DECLARED GOD'S BLESSINGS. In the sight of David's enemies God blessed him past his needs. God blessed him with so much that his cup of need ran to overflowing. David knew the Language of Faith. You must learn the Language of Faith.
