We've defined worry. We are describing worry, ultimately we will defeat worry. Worry is faithless. "See how the lillies of the field grow (6:28b)." "They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these (6:27c-29)." Worry is needless. "So do not worry, saying 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink? or What shall we wear?' For the pagans run after all these things, and your Heavenly Father knows that you need them (Math.6:31-32)." Pagans are people who don't believe. Unbelievers run after all kinds of things to make them happy. Jesus says he doesn't want the believer to behave that way. God's children doesn't live by the natural, they live by the supernatural. Tomorrow we will look at how to defeat worry.
